About
Siteafi.
Siteafi.
Who we are, why we exist, and what makes Siteafi different from an agency, a freelancer, or a page builder platform.
What is Siteafi?
Siteafi is a Texas-based, veteran-owned small business that sells premium website templates for small business owners. We design beautiful, professional static website templates that you purchase once, customize yourself, and host completely free — no monthly fees, no agencies, no lock-in. Our goal is simple: give every small business an affordable path to looking professional online.
Why do you sell templates instead of building websites for people?
Because we believe you shouldn't have to pay someone thousands of dollars just to have a presence online — and you shouldn't have to keep paying monthly just to stay there. Custom agency builds are expensive, slow, and leave you dependent on someone else forever. Our templates put the power back in your hands. You own the files. You control the site. Nobody can change the price on you or hold your content hostage. We'd rather help a hundred business owners launch independently than build one site for one client.
Can I request a custom template?
Yes — use the Request a Template button at the top of any page to submit your idea. Tell us your industry, what kind of site you need, and any design preferences. We review every request and prioritize the most-requested industries when building new templates. There's no guaranteed turnaround time, but we read every submission.
Section 02
Static
Websites.
Websites.
What a static website actually is, how it differs from platforms like Wix or Squarespace, and whether it's the right fit for your business.
What is a static website?
A static website is built with plain HTML, CSS, and JavaScript files — the same files your browser already knows how to read. When someone visits your site, the server sends those files directly with no database queries or server-side processing in between. The result is a site that loads extremely fast, costs nothing to host, and is highly secure because there's no backend to hack. For most small business websites — a salon, a contractor, a local service — a static site does everything you need.
What's the difference between a static site and Wix or Squarespace?
Wix and Squarespace are platforms — you rent space on their system and build inside their editor. That means monthly fees forever, no access to your actual files, and no ability to leave without losing everything. A Siteafi static site is different: you get the raw files, you own them outright, and you host them yourself for free. There's no subscription, no platform dependency, and nothing stopping you from moving your site anywhere at any time.
Is a static website right for my business?
If your goal is to have a professional online presence — showcase your services, build credibility, let customers find and contact you — then yes, a static site is a great fit. Static sites are not ideal if you need a full e-commerce store with a cart and checkout, a blog with a CMS, or a complex web app. But for the vast majority of local and small service businesses, a static site does exactly what you need at a fraction of the cost.
Section 03
Templates &
Customization.
Customization.
What's included in every template purchase, how much you can customize, and what you need — or don't need — to make it your own.
What do I get when I purchase a template?
You get instant access to a zip file containing all the HTML, CSS, and JavaScript files that make up your website. Everything is clean, organized, and ready to customize. Open any file in a text editor, swap in your business name, contact info, photos, and copy — and your site is ready to go live. No subscription required. No account to maintain. The files are yours forever.
Do I need to know how to code?
Not at all. Our templates are built so that all you need to do is find the text you want to change and replace it with your own. It's a lot like editing a Word document — just in a slightly different file format. If you can copy and paste, you can customize a Siteafi template. For anything beyond the basics, our add-on setup guides walk you through every step in plain, beginner-friendly language.
Can I customize the template to match my brand?
Yes — completely. You can change your business name, logo, colors, fonts, photos, page copy, and more. Because you have the raw files, there are no restrictions on what you can modify. If you know a little CSS, you can change the entire look. If you don't, the templates are designed to look great out of the box with just your content swapped in.
Can I use one template for multiple businesses?
Each template purchase covers a single website. If you're building sites for multiple businesses — whether your own or for clients — you'll need a separate purchase for each one. This keeps things fair and helps us keep building. If you're looking to use our templates commercially or at scale, reach out at hello@siteafi.com and we can talk through options.

Hosting &
Going Live.
Going Live.
How free hosting works, what GitHub Pages and Cloudflare Pages actually are, and how to connect your own custom domain name.
How do I host my site for free?
You upload your template files to a free GitHub repository, then connect that repository to either GitHub Pages or Cloudflare Pages. Both services host static sites at no cost. Your site goes live on a real URL within minutes. Our Complete Setup Guide add-on walks you through this process from start to finish — even if you've never used GitHub before.
What are GitHub Pages and Cloudflare Pages?
GitHub Pages is a free hosting service from GitHub (owned by Microsoft) that serves static websites directly from a repository. Cloudflare Pages is a similar service from Cloudflare — one of the world's largest internet infrastructure companies — that hosts static sites for free with fast global delivery. Both are battle-tested and used by millions of sites worldwide.
Can I use my own domain name?
Yes. Once your site is live, you can connect any custom domain you own — like yourbusiness.com — so visitors see your real URL. Our Domain Connection Guide add-on covers exactly how to buy a domain and point it to your site, step by step, with no assumed technical knowledge required.
Section 05
Pricing &
Ownership.
Ownership.
The real cost breakdown, what you actually own after purchase, and what happens to your site if Siteafi ever goes away.
Are there any monthly fees after I buy?
No. You pay once for the template and that's it. Hosting is free through GitHub Pages or Cloudflare Pages. The only ongoing cost you'll ever have is your domain name — typically $10–$15 per year — and that's optional. There are no Siteafi subscriptions, no platform fees, and no surprise charges.
Do I actually own the files?
Yes — completely. When you purchase a template, you download the actual files to your computer. They live on your machine, in your GitHub repository, and on your hosting. Siteafi has no access to your site and no ability to take it down, change it, or charge you to keep it running. Your website is yours. Full stop.
What happens if Siteafi shuts down one day?
Nothing happens to your site. Because you own the files and host them independently, Siteafi's existence has no bearing on your website staying online. This is one of the core reasons we build static sites this way — your business doesn't depend on us. Unlike Wix or Squarespace, if we disappeared tomorrow, your site would keep running exactly as-is with zero disruption.
Section 06
Support &
Add-ons.
Add-ons.
What to do if you get stuck, what the add-on guides cover, and how to reach a real person when you need one.
What if I get stuck during setup?
Our add-on guides are written specifically to prevent that — they cover every step from unzipping your files to going live, in plain language with no assumed technical knowledge. If you're still stuck after working through the guide, reach out at hello@siteafi.com. We're a small team and we respond personally. We want your site to get launched.
What are the add-on guides?
Add-ons are optional written guides sold separately that walk you through specific parts of the process. Current add-ons include a Complete Setup Guide, a Domain Connection Guide, a Contact Form Setup Guide, and a Google Analytics Guide. All guides are written specifically for Siteafi templates — not generic advice. Browse them on the Add-ons page.
Do add-ons work with all templates?
Yes. Our add-on guides are written to work with any Siteafi template — Standard or Premium. The setup process is the same regardless of which template you purchased, so you only need to buy a guide once and it applies across all of our templates.
Still have questions?
We're a real team.
We actually respond.
